Slightly hazy dark orange color.  Vinous, oaky character highlighted by  aromas of dried cherries and vanilla.  Moderately tart character with tannin in the finish shows the pinot noir influence

Four year old Strong Ale

Slightly hazy dark orange color.  Earthy, with brown sugar and toasted caramel notes.  Earthy cellar character.  Sherry-like with aromas of ripe bananas, old leather, raisins, figs, and dried apricots.  A round, malty, well-aged flavor that finishes with a slight dryness and tart character.

2004

English-style Barleywine brewed with 13% local wildflower honey

Bright deep red color.  Rich, pronounced honey aroma with floral and fruity notes.  Cinnamon, dried pears, and dried apple character.  Flavor hints at sweetness but actually finishes quickly with some clean alcoholic heat.  Spicy and complex.

2005

English-style Barleywine, all-malt formulation

Deep red color with a slightly veiled appearance.  Aromas of earthy browned malts, dark toasted bread and deep caramel.  Smooth and rounded overall; very full-bodied.  Alcoholic warmth in the finish with a lingering character of plums, dried prunes, dates and raisins.

2007

English-style Barleywine, all-malt formulation

Brilliant dark red color.  Deep toasted browned malt and fresh caramel aromas.  Fruity.  Very full-bodied with a warming finish.  Hints of marshmallow, vanilla, and black licorice.  Alcoholic strength is apparent at this young age.

Where is the 2006 Stormwatcher’s Winterfest?  All of the draft and kegged 2006 vintage is sold out, but bottled Stormwatcher’s is still available in limited quantities. 

The 2006 version of Stormwatcher’s Winterfest has a deep red color, with earthy dark fruit aromas.  Complex alcohol, malt and fruit combine for an intricate depth of flavor.  Extremely full-bodied with some residual sweetness balanced by alcoholic warmth in the finish.
