The Pelican Pub & Brewery is proud to invite you to participate in the legendary Fifth Annual Brewers Summer Games, to be held Saturday, June 21st in
Pacific City

Oregon
at the Pelican Pub & Brewery.
The Brewer’s Summer Games is a two part event. First, we are putting on a beer festival to benefit two local charities, the Nestucca's Booster Club and the Caring Cabin. Nestucca's Booster Club supports athletics and other extracurricular activities in the local schools. The Caring Cabin is a retreat for children undergoing cancer treatment. All proceeds will be divided between these two very worthy causes. We ask that each brewery donates one ½ bbl or two ¼ bbl to pour in the
Beer
Garden
. We also have a
Rootbeer
Garden
and ask that any brewers that produce Rootbeer or soda donate some. Last year we raised more that $5000 dollars for these two worthy organizations.
The second part of the event is the Brewers Games. Teams will meet on the beach to battle it out for the ultimate prize in Brewing Athletics, the Grand Champion Altitude Cup. Each participating brewery should form a team, or link up with other breweries to complete a team. Teams should include 6 or more members. (If you would like to participate and have trouble forming a team, contact us.) Each team competes in a series of eight events involving skill, cunning, and brute force. Teams are encouraged to wear team outfits or costumes and new this year, teams can choose a “team theme song”. Team Kobra Kai will be defending their win in 2007 although possibly under a different name.
On Friday June 20th there will be a Brewers and Sponsors Reception. We will be cooking burgers, veggie burgers and brats and tapping some Pelican beer. Any other brewers that would like to share beer should bring it along!!
